Kopi pukul 1: focus ke RM15 coping mechanism?

Team SisPilih2026-06-25

Coffee run lepas lunch bukan selalu pasal caffeine.

Pukul 1 petang, badan dah mula loading.

Lunch baru habis. Perut kenyang. Mata berat. Email pula tiba-tiba jadi panjang macam novel.

This is the exact moment satu office akan bangun sorang-sorang macam ritual.

“Jom coffee?”

Tak kisah semalam dah janji nak save money. Tak kisah pagi tadi dah minum kopi. Tak kisah app bank tengah pandang kau macam disappointed parent.

Pukul 1, iced latte nampak macam emergency service.

Coffee run bukan always pasal focus.

Kadang-kadang yes, kau memang perlukan caffeine. Meeting pukul 2. Report belum siap. Otak masih dekat kedai makan, emotionally attached to ayam goreng berempah.

Tapi let’s be real.

Coffee run also pasal keluar dari office 10 minit tanpa nampak macam kau lari daripada hidup. Kau pegang tote, turun lift, jalan bawah panas KL, and suddenly kau rasa macam ada plot.

Beli kopi jadi excuse untuk reset muka.

Bukan healing besar-besaran. Just tiny pause.

RM15 untuk rasa in control? Aduh.

This is where it gets dangerous, bestie.

Sebab coffee run rasa innocent. RM12. RM15. Kalau add oat milk, suddenly jadi financial decision.

Sekali-sekala, fine. Treat yourself. Life is already gila.

Tapi kalau every post-lunch crash kau jawab dengan café drink, at some point bukan caffeine dah. Itu coping mechanism pakai straw.

Especially bila kau tak actually nak kopi pun. Kau nak break. Kau nak fresh air. Kau nak someone else buatkan something for you. Kau nak rasa hidup kau ada cute little reward system walaupun kerja kau tengah makan soul.

Valid.

Tapi mahal.

Coffee aesthetic pun pandai tipu.

Kita semua guilty.

Iced coffee atas meja kerja instantly buat hari nampak more productive. Macam kalau ada cup condensation tepi laptop, suddenly kau bukan overwhelmed. Kau “busy girl”.

Padahal tab browser ada 17, satu spreadsheet loading, satu message belum reply, and kau tengah fikir nak resign every 20 minutes.

Coffee content memang pandai romanticise exhaustion. Cute cup. Cute nails. Cute straw. Caption: “fuel”.

Girl, that’s not fuel. That’s a cry for help in caramel syrup.

Tapi jangan shame small joys.

SisPilih bukan sini nak jadi finance bro suruh kau bancuh kopi sendiri setiap hari sambil track every sen dalam spreadsheet. Penat lah.

Kadang-kadang RM15 tu memang worth it sebab dia beli mood. Dia jadi mini gossip window. Dia buat afternoon rasa less brutal.

Small joy counts.

The point is not “never buy coffee”. The point is: jangan confuse coffee with rest.

No judgement. Ada orang buka Shopee cart just to feel something.

But maybe before swipe card, tanya diri sikit: aku nak caffeine, atau aku nak escape?

Kalau nak caffeine, enjoy.

Kalau nak escape, maybe coffee helps for 20 minutes. But kau still deserve actual rest, actual boundaries, actual lunch break yang tak rasa macam pit stop sebelum perang.

Buy the kopi if it makes your day softer.

Just don’t let RM15 become subscription plan for burnout.
