Ada satu jenis post yang selalu muncul dekat LinkedIn hari Jumaat.
Gambar laptop. Caption panjang. Ayat mula dengan, “I’m humbled and excited to share…”
Bestie, humbled tapi paragraph dia macam award speech. Excited tapi tone dia macam HR approved. Proud tapi emoji dia dikawal ketat, takut nampak terlalu human.
And honestly? Kita faham.
Dapat internship, kerja baru, promotion, tamat probation, masuk company yang dulu cuma berani stalk dekat website — semua tu big deal. Kalau kau nak post, post lah. Kau deserve celebrate.
Tapi LinkedIn announcement era ni kadang buat semua orang rasa macam hidup kena ada press release.
Proud moment tu valid
First of all, jangan jadi hater. Career update memang boleh jadi sentimental.
Untuk girls yang first-gen masuk corporate, dapat kerja dekat KL, survive internship toxic, atau finally keluar company yang buat kau nangis dalam Grab — announcement tu bukan cuma content. Itu receipt.
Macam, “Aku actually made it.”
Kadang mak ayah tak faham job title kau, tapi bila kau tunjuk post tu, at least nampak official. Kadang besties dah dengar kau stress berbulan-bulan, so bila post naik, semua comment “proud of you babe” sebab they know the backstory.
That part? Cute. Healing. Screenshot-worthy.
Tapi kenapa semua caption bunyi sama?
Masalah dia bila LinkedIn culture buat semua orang tulis macam template corporate.
“Grateful for the opportunity.”
“Excited for the journey ahead.”
“Looking forward to learning and growing.”
Aduh. Betul lah semua tu, tapi mana kau? Mana personality? Mana sikit “I almost threw up before interview but we move”? Mana “finally boleh stop refresh job portal pukul 2 pagi”?
Kita tak cakap kena overshare trauma kerja. Jangan. LinkedIn bukan Close Friends.
Tapi kalau semua orang polish caption sampai licin, announcement tu jadi macam packaging tanpa isi. Cantik, yes. Terasa alive? Not really.
Career girl aesthetic pun ada pressure dia
Sekarang proud career girl bukan cuma kerja. Dia ada visual language.
Blazer. Coffee. Laptop. Lift selfie. Desk setup. Tote bag yang nampak mahal. Caption yang matang. “Soft launch new role.”
Semua benda kena nampak composed.
Padahal realitinya, hari pertama kerja kau mungkin sesat parking, lupa bawa charger, tak tahu nak lunch dengan siapa, and smile dekat pantry macam NPC friendly.
Tapi sebab internet suka versi kemas, kita pun rasa kena announce macam kita dah fully formed.
Bestie, no. Kau boleh proud and still blur. Kau boleh dapat job and still takut. Kau boleh nampak polished dalam gambar, tapi dalam hati tengah “macam mana nak set up printer ni?”
Jangan post untuk prove kau okay
Ini part yang kena check sikit.
Kalau kau post sebab happy, go. Kalau kau post sebab nak update network, also valid. Kalau kau post sebab nak say thank you dekat people who helped, nice.
Tapi kalau kau post sebab rasa semua orang umur 23 dah ada title, kau pun kena nampak thriving? Hati-hati.
LinkedIn can be useful, tapi dia juga tempat orang flex burnout pakai font professional.
Jangan let satu feed buat kau rasa life kau behind. Some people announce loudly. Some people move quietly. Both can win.
SisPilih verdict
LinkedIn announcement bukan cringe by default. Yang cringe ialah bila kita pretend career growth tak datang dengan takut, awkward, trial-and-error, and Google Calendar panic.
Celebrate lah. Let people clap for you.
Cuma jangan buang suara sendiri semata-mata nak nampak serious.
Tulis proud macam manusia. Thank people macam manusia. Share update macam kau, bukan macam template yang baru keluar from corporate microwave.
Because honestly, girls suka tengok you win.
