Lepas dinner terus jalan keliling taman sounds healthy girl sangat. Tapi kadang-kadang kita bukan wellness queen pun, kita cuma nak digest, clear kepala, and justify boba tadi.

Ada satu phase yang sneak attack ramai girls sekarang: post-dinner walk.

Makan malam habis, pinggan baru letak, perut tengah fikir nak masuk food coma. Tiba-tiba kau bangun macam, “Jom jalan kejap.”

Bestie, sejak bila kita jadi macam makcik-makcik power walking dekat taman? Tapi somehow... it works.

Kau pakai slippers or sneakers, grab phone, maybe ajak housemate, maybe turun sorang-sorang keliling condo. Five minutes jadi fifteen. Fifteen jadi satu round lagi sebab Apple Watch belum puas hati. Humidity. Nyamuk. Jalan kaki tepi longkang. Kereta lalu laju sangat sampai kau rasa hidup ni fragile. Kucing bawah kereta judge outfit kau. Ada uncle jogging laju gila macam training untuk Sukan SEA. Kau pula baru lepas makan ayam penyet, so speed kau more like slow loading website.

Still, ada benda nice pasal keluar sekejap lepas dinner.

Kepala kurang bising. Phone dalam tangan tapi kau tak scroll sangat. Angin malam walaupun lembap still rasa macam reset kecil. Kalau hujan baru berhenti, bau jalan basah tu macam free aromatherapy versi KL.

Kita selalu cakap nak capai 8k steps. Nak close ring. Nak burn sikit calories. Nak jadi “healthy girl”.

Tapi kalau jujur, kadang-kadang post-dinner walk bukan pasal fitness pun.

It’s the only time satu hari tu kau tak kena reply email, tak kena decide dinner, tak kena tengok cart Shopee, tak kena dengar orang explain drama kerja dengan penuh plot twist.

Kau jalan, lampu jalan atas kepala, lagu pelan dalam earbuds, and for once kau tak perlu perform.

Itu healing dia.

Bukan sebab kau suddenly jadi disciplined. Bukan sebab kau dah berubah jadi Pilates princess yang minum chlorophyll. Kau cuma bagi badan chance untuk move after duduk dari pagi sampai malam macam spreadsheet hostage.

And honestly, that’s enough.

Tapi jangan turn jadi punishment

Yang kita tak suka: bila walk ni jadi guilt trip.

Makan dessert sikit, terus “kena jalan”. Minum boba, terus “kena burn”. Makan nasi tambah, terus rasa macam badan buat crime.

No.

Jalan lepas dinner should feel like sayang diri, not bayar hutang makan.

Kalau kau jalan sebab perut rasa selesa, kepala rasa ringan, tidur nanti lagi senang — cute. Kalau kau jalan sebab nak punish yourself for enjoying food, then bestie, kita need audit relationship dengan wellness content.

Food is not moral failure. Teh ais bukan villain. Roti tissue bukan character flaw.

Move sebab badan suka. Not sebab kau takut jadi manusia yang makan.

Kalau nak masuk post-dinner walk era, buat simple.

Pakai kasut yang tak makan kaki. Jalan tempat terang. Kalau sorang-sorang, share location dengan housemate or bestie. Jangan sibuk prove independent sampai basic safety pun skip.

Playlist kena ikut mood. Kalau nak healing, okay. Kalau nak jalan sambil imagining fake music video after kena ghost, also valid.

Tak payah target gila-gila. Ten minutes pun kira. Around block pun kira. Turun buang sampah and sambung satu round extra pun kira. Kita bukan training untuk marathon, kita training untuk tak jadi fossil depan laptop.

And kalau malam tu hujan, malas, period cramp, or social battery dah tinggal 2%, tak payah paksa.

Rest is also part of being alive. Shocking, I know.

Verdict dia macam ni

Post-dinner walk is lowkey one of the least cringe wellness habits sebab dia cheap, realistic, and tak perlukan aesthetic equipment.

Kau tak perlu membership. Tak perlu outfit matching. Tak perlu gym confidence. Just keluar, jalan sikit, tengok lampu, breathe, balik.

Kalau capai steps, bonus.

Kalau tak capai pun, at least kau dapat keluar dari kepala sendiri for 15 minutes.

And sometimes that’s the real healthy girl era: bukan jadi perfect, bukan jadi kurus, bukan jadi “that girl” yang semua routine dia laminated.
